MOVCDNER

The Indian agricultural sector is facing significant challenges with declining profitability caused by increasing input costs and stagnant output prices. To address these issues effectively, wider adoption of organic agriculture is seen as a viable solution. Recognizing the potential of organic farming in the North East region of India, the Government of India has initiated a Centrally Sponsored Scheme called "Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER)." This scheme is being implemented in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura since 2015-16.
